Girls Basketball Dream Team Coach of the Year is South Iron’s Lawrence Graves

(Annapolis, Mo.) The 2019-2020 Regional Radio Winter Sports Dream Team features Lawrence Graves as the Girls Basketball Coach of the Year. Graves’ coaches at South Iron and led his team to a 25-5 record with a district title and a final four finish in State. Graves says he’s grateful for the honor.

The Lady Panthers won their 4th straight district title and made it to the final four for the second time in those four years. Graves says his two seniors Callie Miller and Michaela Ayers were a big reason for their success.

Josh Rainey and Jeff Ayers are Graves’ assistants. He says they are crucial.

The Lady Panthers have gone 91-24 over the last four seasons, won 4 straight district titles and have made the final four of the Class 1 state tournament twice in that time span. Michaela Ayers also joined coach Graves on this year’s Regional Radio Winter Sports Dream Team. This was her second time being selected.
