Good News For Iron County Deer Hunters

The MO Department of Conservation says deer hunters harvested 11,705 deer during the state’s new chronic wasting disease hunting season.

There’s something new this year for Iron County deer hunters. Conservation agent Sarah Ettinger-Dietzel shares the news.

We asked Ettinger-Dietzel if Iron County was alone with its neighboring counties when it comes to being able to use this firearms antlerless permit opportunity.

Missouri’s firearms deer season starts with the youth hunt Saturday, October 29th, and Sunday the 30th. The regular firearms deer season starts Saturday, November 12th, and runs through the 22nd. Also, the late youth deer hunt is scheduled for November 25th, 26th, and 27th.
