Governor Appoints Piedmont Woman as New Wayne County Public Administrator

(Greenville) Governor Mike Parson has appointed a Piedmont woman as the new public administrator for Wayne County.

Since 2019, Penny Jean Schulz has served as assistant public administrator of Wayne County.

Previously, Schulz worked as a house supervisor for Down Home Women’s Center in Piedmont, mentoring disadvantaged women and helping them develop life skills.

She also owned and operated her own dry cleaning business for over 17 years.
