Great Streets agreement moving forward in Twin Cities

(Festus, Crystal City) Things are moving forward concerning the Great Streets program agreement with the cities of Festus and Crystal City when it comes to getting input and improving things along Festus Main Street and Bailey Road. Festus City Administrator Greg Camp both towns have spent a small amount of money to get a large return on the investment.

Representatives from both cities recently made a decision on what firm will handle the study, after interviewing four possible candidates. They met with the group in person for the first time this week.

There will be public meetings for residents input coming in the new year. The Great Street Initiative also has an ongoing project currently in Kimmswick.
