Health Department upcoming school flu vaccine clinics in Jefferson County

(Jefferson County) In light of the upcoming flu season, the Jefferson County Health Department (JCHD) will be going to different school districts throughout the county and hosting flu vaccine clinics for those interested.

Brianne Zwiener is the Public Information Officer for the JCHD. She says the health department has been working in partnership with local school districts for a number of years now providing flu shots for those wanting it.

Zwiener mentions the school flu vaccine clinics makes it more convenient for parents and the students not having to miss much class time with the clinic being held on campus.

Flu season typically runs from October through April with the peak of the season between December and February.
