High Water Causes Some Roads in Reynolds & Iron Counties To Be Impassable

(Reynolds) Some roads in the area were impassable the last couple days after rain hammered the area Monday night and Tuesday morning.

MODOT’s Traveler Information Map shows high water forced some motorists to turn around and find a different route after finding water covering some roads in Iron, Reynolds and Carter counties.

Several bouts of rain across Reynolds County on Monday brough forth over 4 inches of rain in some locations.

That has led to a flood warning for the Black River in Reynolds County with minor flooding occurring.

The river should return to normal late Wednesday morning.

That’s when the flood warning will be allowed to expire.
