Highway 67 accident injures five

A single-vehicle accident sent five children and the driver to the hospital early Sunday morning. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 44-year-old Kathleen Diong, of Kenset Arkansas, was traveling in her Dodge Durango, northbound on Highway 67, south of Route V when she fell asleep at the wheel and ran off the left side of the road, she then overcorrected and crossed back and traveled off the right side of the road where she overturned and struck the median cables. Five of the juvenile passengers were taken to Mercy Hospital South, one with moderate injuries, four with minor injuries, and Diong herself was treated for moderate injuries. The accident happened at 4:10 am on Sunday morning.
