Hillsboro Wrestling Takes Three First Places in State Championships

The Hillsboro Hawks ended up with three state champions in the recent Missouri state wrestling tournament. Carter Wallis took first in the 120 pound weight class. Jackson Tucker won at 138 pounds and Sam Richardson took first at 165 pounds. Head Coach Matt Mitchell says a lot came from the team chemistry that had been portrayed and goals that had been set for them throughout the season.

The Hawks finished second in the state in Class 3. Mitchell talks about dedication everyone put into making their successes possible.

The state championships were held from February 21st through February 24th at the University of Missouri.
