Hillsboro’s Wright named Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week

(Hillsboro) Hillsboro Hawks track & field athlete Sam Wright is the Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week.
The senior was at his best on his home track Saturday, winning the Class 4 District 2 championship in the 100 and 200-meter dashes and in the 110 and 300-meter hurdles.
Hawks head coach Todd Medley says it’s an unprecedented feat.
Wright adds to the conference championships he won in April in all 4 events and will compete in the Class 4 state sectionals this Saturday.
As Athlete of the Week, he receives a T-shirt, a certificate and a coupon for a free entree at Applebee’s in Farmington.
