(Crystal City) Current Crystal City Schools Superintendent Dr. Steven Barnes will be officially leaving the district at the end of June. The Crystal City School Board decided that current high school principal Matt Holdinghausen will be his replacement, as he takes on the new role on July 1st. Holdinghausen says he felt he’s ready for it.

Holdinghausen says he takes a lot of pride in the fact he is a Crystal City graduate.

Dr. Barnes will become the superintendent of the Morgan County School District later this summer.
