Imperial man arrested for burglary

(Imperial) An Imperial man was arrested and charged with burglary after an incident on Tuesday, May 23rd. According to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the 16-hundred block of Viola Drive after the homeowner was leaving his residence and noticed the gate to his backyard was open. The owner then went to investigate closer and saw there was forced entry to the rear basement door. Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Grant Bissell says deputies were then called to the scene.

The suspect had broken the glass back door, as well as damaged multiple items in the basement and a window. The name of the 34-year-old suspect has not been released.
