Ironton Mayor to Organize Coronavirus Meeting for Iron County Officials

(Ironton) Ironton Mayor Bob Lourwood says he and other officials are being kept up to date on the coronavirus.

In fact, he hopes to have a meeting soon with all entities from Iron County to discuss protocol if confirmed cases of the virus pop up in the county.

Ironton and the Arcadia Valley is home to several festivals during the warm months.

We asked Mayor Lourwood about the possibility of festival cancellations because of the virus.

So far, Missouri still has just one confirmed case.

However, there are reports of a possible coronavirus case in St. Louis City, officials are monitoring a Bayer employee in St. Louis County and four possible cases are being investigated in St. Charles County.
