Jake Hogan is New Festus Girls Head Basketball Coach
(FESTUS)    Jake Hogan, who has coached basketball, football and baseball the past four years at Bishop DuBourg High School will be the new girls head basketball coach at Festus High School.  The Festus School Board approved the hiring during its meeting Thursday night.  Hogan will replace veteran coach Steve McFarland who announced at the tail of the season that he would be stepping down.
Incoming Festus Athletic Director Jason Therrell says Hogan “brings great energy and enthusiasm and we are happy to have him as a Festus Tiger.”
Besides Bishop DuBourg, Hogan’s coaching experience also includes time at Lutheran South, St. Dominic, and Westminster Christian Academy. Hogan is also a baseball coach for the St. Louis Recruits organization.
Hogan says “Our program is going to have some fire to it, and it’s going to be fun to watch. With what we have returning and what we will build, Festus Girls Basketball is going to compete with integrity, class, and discipline!”
Hogan will also be an assistant football coach for the Tigers.
