(Arnold) Fox Warriors senior Tony Pisoni announced late last week that he has signed with McKendree University to continue his football career at the next level.

Pisoni played both quarterback and safety for Fox, but will stick to defense in college. Pisoni was named to the Missouri Football Coaches Association second team all defense this past fall after he recorded 94 total tackles with two fumble recoveries and three interceptions during his senior campaign (STLtoday.com).

In his career, Pisoni registered nine interceptions including six during the 2015 season as a junior. He will go from one solid program to another as McKendree has gone 16-5 over the past two seasons competing at the NCAA Division II level.

For Pisoni, the recruiting process really started to heat up once the season ended…

Fox has seen a successful turnaround under the guidance of head coach Brent Tinker with Pisoni and others transforming a program that won two games in 2013, into an eight and seven win team over the course of the last two seasons.

Pisoni is proud of the accomplishments the program made during his time there…

Pisoni is an instinctive defensive back with high football IQ, but he knows there are always things he can improve on…

Pisoni comes from a big family and will have younger siblings play for the Fox football program as well. For every young athlete, a strong support system can go a long way…

Pisoni plans to study criminal justice at this point, but said he could change his mind prior to enrolling.

He is also a basketball player for Fox and is averaging 8.2 points per game helping Fox to a 5-4 record.
