JCSO Mental Health Coordinator has many goals

(Hillsboro) The new Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office Mental Health Coordinator has been on the job for a little over two weeks now. Lisa Flamion officially started at the end of July. She says she first met Sheriff Dave Marshak about two years ago at a conference in Seattle. She says the sheriff had bold ideas of creating this kind of position back then.

Flamion says she has already set goals for what she plans to accomplish with this new venture, and it starts with safety.

Flamion says making sure the county residents have the appropriate help for their mental illness is a top priority as well.

Prior to joining the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office, Flamion spent time working in similar positions with both St. Louis County and St. Louis City police departments.
