Jefferson College President talks about ongoing and future renovation projects

(Jefferson County) A lot of summer projects are ongoing right now at Jefferson College including repair work to each campus building and a major repaving project throughout the Hillsboro campus road system.

Aside from the summer maintenance that is ongoing, the college has some other capital projects planned for the future.

So far the ARPA funds the college received has helped with updating several spaces throughout both the Arnold and Hillsboro campuses.

President Dr. Dena McCaffrey says the ARPA money will also help fund future projects as well.

Looking at the long-term future of the college and its infrastructure needs, the college Board of Trustees recently approved a 3-year contract with a couple of architectural firms.

Dr. McCaffrey explains what roles those firms will play in moving the college ahead.

Summer projects at the college are expected to be wrapped up before the start of the fall semester in late August.

The overall planning for future projects and architectural work should be completed in the coming months.
