Jefferson County rep leading more hearings on illegal slot machines

A representative from Imperial is heading a special Missouri House of Representatives committee that will have its fourth different hearing Thursday on illegal slot machines.
Republican Dan Shaul is chairman of the House Special Interim Committee on Gaming.
Shaul says the problem is one that will not go away without affirmative action.
The number of complaints the Highway Patrol has received about illegal gambling has quadrupled since 2018.
The Highway Patrol has previously testified before the committee that they do not have enough investigators to properly combat the issue.
