Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office continues DWI enforcement measures

(Hillsboro) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office continues to do its part to keep the roadways as safe as possible when it comes to Driving While Intoxicated enforcement. The sheriff’s office made 448 DWI arrests in 2022 from their DWI enforcement unit. Sheriff Dave Marshak says there may be a few reasons for those numbers.

Sheriff Marshak says many other law enforcement agencies don’t place a lot of emphasis on that type of enforcement.

Sheriff Marshak says they plan on adding another member to the DWI Enforcement Unit next year. The unit currently has six members.
