Jefferson County Sheriffs Office hiring a Recruiting Specialist

(Hillsboro) The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office is trying to stay up with these times of bidding wars for seasoned police officers by adding a new position to help with that. The sheriff’s office is in the process of hiring a Recruiting Specialist to help with that. Sheriff Dave Marshak says that so many law enforcement agencies are upping the salaries for officers, which has made things a bit difficult to retain officers and hire new ones.

Marshak says they have been paying future deputies who are in the police academies and want to build on that with this new position.
