Jefferson Foundation Releases 2021 Round 1 of Approved Grants

(Jefferson County) The Jefferson Foundation recently released its 2021 Round 1 list of approved grants.

Some of the organizations that were approved grants are: Upward Smiles, Inc. awarded $150,000 to support dental services for children in Jefferson County.

Trailnet awarded $40,000 to develop a walking and biking strategy for Crystal City, Festus and Herculaneum.

Also, a grant of $75,000 awarded to Provident, Inc. to support mental health services in Jefferson County.

Foundation Executive Vice President Missy Endres says the main focus this round of approved grants was basic needs.

Altogether 108 grants were approved totaling more than 2.7-million dollars. Grant money from round 1 is expected to be delivered by June 1st.

Round 2 for grant applications will open on June 2nd and the deadline to apply is July 21st.

Announcements of agencies approved grant money from round 2 will be made on November 1st of this year.
