(CHAFFEE) The Jefferson Blue Jays rolled into Chaffee and ran away with a 62-22 victory over the Red Devils on AM 1400 KJFF.

Colby Ott got the scoring started for the Blue Jays with a 44-yard touchdown run. Chaffee responded with an 80-yard touchdown run from Bryce Horrell to pull within one at 7-6. Then Ott did Ott things and used his speed to return the ensuing kickoff for a touchdown.

That put the score at 14-6 Blue Jays. The Blue Jays built up their lead in the 2nd quarter to 35-14 before quarterback Drew Breeze got in on the scoring.

For good measure following that touchdown pass to Perry, Breeze tossed another beauty.

Drew Breeze and Brandon Perry would once again connect, this time on a swing pass in the backfield where Perry was able to catch it and go 35-yards for another score. An opening 2nd half kickoff return for a 75-yard touchdown by Ott was the last of the scoring highlights for the Blue Jays.

Ott was named the Applebee’s of Farmington player of the game, recapping his kickoff returns.

Jefferson Head Coach Alex Rouggly is looking forward to next week’s game against a smart St. Vincent team that always draws a wild crowd.

Jefferson will carry a 4-4 record into that final regular season matchup.
