(CRYSTAL CITY) The Jefferson Blue Jays spoiled Crystal City’s homecoming with a 63-0 shutout of the Hornets Friday night on AM 1400 KJFF. Andrew Graves climbed his way up the Missouri record books, entering the top 10 in multiple career categories. First came this 69-yard touchdown run, his 3rd of the night.

With the Blue Jays up 42-0 late in the 2nd, another Graves touchdown gave him is 94th overall touchdown, putting him in a tie for 9th all-time in total touchdowns with Max Mickey of Holden.

The touchdown run also put Graves in a tie for 9th in Missouri all-time for career rushing touchdowns. Graves thought the team played extremely well throughout the night.

Jefferson head coach Alex Rouggly credits last semester to the incredible abilities Graves put on display.

As Graves mentioned, the Jefferson Blue Jays are off to their best start in school history with a 5-0 record. Crystal City drops to 0-5 and will travel next week to Perryville to take on the St. Vincent Indians.

Jefferson gets to host 3-2 Valle Catholic next Friday for the Cole’s Tractor and Equipment WebTV Game of the Week. A win for the Blue Jays against the Warriors would make them I-55 Conference Champions.
