Jefferson’s Siebert sets the tone for squad with volleyball Dream Team spot

(Festus) Every good volleyball team needs a ring leader, and Paige Siebert proved to be that for the Jefferson Blue Jays.

One of the most prolific setters in the state is now also a member of the Regional Radio Dream Team.

The junior managed to dish out an astounding 1,159 assists this season, the most in Class 2 and a school record.

But after an all-state season, she’s still very appreciative of the plaudits she’s receiving.

Siebert ran one of the most dynamic offenses in the state, handing out assists to 3 other members of the Dream Team.

Fellow Blue Jay juniors Kirstyn Loyd, Emma Breier and Ava Roth combined with Siebert to win 33 matches, conference and district championships and a third-place finish in the state.

She says everybody jelled in a way where having this success just felt inevitable.

Siebert made plenty of plays on her own, finishing the season with 60 kills, 65 aces and 219 digs.

But she’s also the first to admit there was plenty of help.

Just like her 3 junior teammates on the Dream Team, Siebert was not only named all-state in 2021, but also earned her third all-conference selection.
