Job Openings Up In America

(Washington D.C.) The U.S. Labor Department says the number of job openings in the United States has soared to 10.9 million.

They also say that, not only does the number of available jobs break a record for the fifth week in a row, but it also outnumbers the country’s estimated 8.7 million unemployed residents.

Officials say among the industries with the biggest jump in available positions is the leisure and hospitality field, which is reporting 1.82 million job openings, representing an increase of 134,000 since June.
