Julie Britton Makes Herculaneum Wrestling History, Earns Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Athlete of the Week Award

(HERCULANEUM) The latest Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Athlete of the Week hails from Herculaneum as freshman wrestler Julie Britton was the champion of the 120-pound weight division of the Brentwood Tournament on Saturday.

Even though Julie is the only varsity female wrestler at Herky, she was able to accumulate enough points to earn a 3rd place plaque as well. Both the medal and the plaque are firsts for girls wrestling in Herculaneum history.

So naturally, this is a big deal, and Head Coach Cody Hunter says that Julie couldn’t be more thrilled about it.

Coach Hunter knows that Julie finding out she won Athlete of the Week will only do wonders for her, Herky wrestling, and beyond.

As part of the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy Athlete of the Week award, Julie Britton will receive a t-shirt, a certificate, and the Parkland Health Mart Pharmacy will donate $25 to a non-profit of her choice.
