Lesterville Volleyball Star Sophomore Gray Named to Dream Team

(Lesterville) Volleyball is king down in Lesterville, Missouri and this year was no different.

The Bearcats went 25-11-2 and finally broke their four-year streak of losing in the Class 1 state quarterfinals.

This season they made it all the way to the championship where they found the Advance Lady Hornets who had only lost 6 total sets coming into the championship match.

Lesterville was able to snag one set but ended up falling 3-1.

However, after such a historic season comes accolades and one of those was given to star sophomore Reese Gray as she was named to the 2020 Fall Dream Team.

Gray says she’s greatly appreciative of the area coaches for choosing her.

Gray posted 5 kills per set this season along with almost 5 digs per set in the back row as a six rotation player for the Bearcats.

She says finally breaking the quarterfinal curse was an incredible feeling.

Gray joins her teammate Mallory Polk on this year’s Volleyball Dream Team.
