Lesterville Wins 91st Arcadia Valley Thanksgiving Tournament, AV Takes Third

(IRONTON) Thursday night marked the end of the 91st Annual Arcadia Valley Thanksgiving Tournament on J-98.

The Lesterville Bearcats took the Tournament title with a 70-45 win over the South Iron Panthers. Lesterville found good shots inside and outside as they made a long run in the second quarter and built it even longer in the third.

This is Lesterville’s first AV tourney title since 1966. Head coach Lee Richardson says he’s glad to make the community proud of their team.

It was all Arcadia Valley in the 3rd place contest against West County. The Tigers were on fire in the first half, as they scored as many as 32 points in the second quarter.

AV would end the game with a final of 88-64. Five Tigers finished the game in double-digit scoring, with Jeremiah Moore leading the way with 22 points. Head coach Ricky Turnbough says he liked seeing everyone pitch in on offense.
