Lesterville’s Fitzgerald Becomes Two-Time Dream Teamer In ’18-19

(LESTERVILLE, Mo.) – It is rare to see one athlete make the Regional Radio Dream Team in two different sports in the same school year, but that is exactly what Jadyn Fitzgerald of the Lesterville Bearcats has accomplished. Fitzgerald made the volleyball Dream Team in the fall and was just recently voted onto the girls basketball Dream Team by area coaches. She said she has many people to thank for helping her achieve those goals.
Fitzgerald averaged a double-double on the basketball court this season with 24 points and 11 rebounds per game and finished her Lesterville career with 1,639 career points. She said she is most proud of her ability to score this season.
After high school, Fitzgerald plans to continue playing volleyball at Lindenwood University in Belleville. She said it’s an exciting opportunity for her.
The Bearcats girls basketball team finished 10-11 this season and made the district championship game.
