Live Sports Return to Regional Radio – Mineral Area Orioles Battle the Potosi Pirates Tonight on J98

(Farmington, Mo.) It has been 97 days since there were live sports on Regional Radio, but that streak comes to an end tonight as the Mineral Area Orioles take on the Potosi Pirates on J98.

Tonight’s action will be a doubleheader with the travel baseball teams meeting on the diamond at Wilson Rozier Park in Farmington.

Orioles head coach Greg Turner says there has been plenty of excitement surrounding the team this summer.

The Orioles come into Wednesday’s games with an overall record of 13-7-2.

The team is made up of players from Farmington High School, St. Paul High School, Central High School, Bismarck High School, and Mehlville High School.

Turner says his team will need to play hard to defeat Potosi.

The Pirates enter tonight’s games with an overall record of 4-0 after kicking off their season this past weekend.

The team is comprised of players from Potosi High School, West County High School, Kingston High School, and Valley High School in Caledonia.

Potosi head coach Jake Swain says hitting will be key for his team tonight.

The doubleheader between the Mineral Area Orioles and the Potosi Pirates gets underway this evening at 6 at Wilson Rozier Park in Farmington.
