Local Superintendent Shares Concerns About Open Enrollment Bill
The Missouri House of Representatives has passed HB-1989, which would allow families to enroll their kids in the school district of their choosing. Some rural school superintendents oppose the bill. Katie Bockman, the superintendent of the North County School District, shares some of her concerns with open enrollment’s impact on local communities.

Bockman says transportation could be impacted by a school choice bill.

The bill is currently under review by the Missouri Senate, but has not become law.
