MAC Hosting Three Rivers on KREI

(Park Hills) The Mineral Area College basketball teams host Three Rivers Wednesday night in a pair of rivalry basketball games at the Bob Sechrest Fieldhouse.

The MAC men moved up another notch this week and are now ranked 5th in the country with an unblemished 10-0 record. Three Rivers comes in at 6-3 and have been in and then out of the rankings. The Raiders have a double overtime loss to then #1 John A. Logan and came all the way back from 24 points down only to fall short at Moberly. Three Rivers has the number six scorer in the country. The Cardinals are leading with defense as they are regularly holding teams 30 points below their season averages.

The MAC women notched a key Region win Saturday at State Fair to improve to 4-5. The Cardinals are having trouble early in games finishing at the rim. Coach Briley Palmer says they’ll have to correct that to hand Three Rivers its first loss…

The Lady Raiders are 6-0 and ranked 15th in the country. They knocked off 11th ranked Moberly by three points on Saturday.
