MAC Men at Triton, One Step From Nationals

(Chicago) The Mineral Area College men’s basketball team continues its historic season with a district playoff game at Triton Community College in Chicago. The Cardinals are the only undefeated team left in the country at 22-0 and were ranked 2nd in the country in the final regular season poll. Triton enters the game at 20-3 and is ranked 18th. The Trojans lost their best shooter who opted out the rest of the season after 18 games, but coach Steve Christiansen feels great about how his team pulled together…

The Cardinals get it done starting with defense. They lead the country in allowing only 60 points per game.

The winner of this game receives an automatic bid to the national tournament in Hutchinson. MAC figures to be in the field either way, but could be playing for one of the top seeds with a win. We’ll be on the air Saturday at 6:45 on J-98.
