MAC volleyball gets first wins of 2019, Copeland reaches 400 victories

The season is off to a strong start for the Mineral Area College Cardinal volleyball team.
The Cards won their first 2 matches at the East Central Classic in Union Friday evening, sweeping both Lewis & Clark and John Wood in straight sets.
MAC assistant head coach Sami Meyers says veterans powered the first serve of the 2019 season.
The final scores saw MAC defeat Lewis & Clark 25-15, 25-19 and 25-9 while knocking off John Wood 25-10, 25-10 and 25-12.
MAC head coach Tim Copeland achieved his 400th win in the process.
The tenth-ranked Cardinals hit the court again Saturday morning with a match against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M at 11 before facing John A. Logan at 1 p.m.
