Mercy Jefferson Flu Shot clinic coming up

(Festus/Crystal City) We think of winter as the time influenza, better known as the flu, hits our community. But the time to prepare for the flu is now.

Annette Viox is the infection prevention manager at Mercy Hospital Jefferson. She says Mercy Jefferson will be hosting a convenient drive-thru flu shot clinic this month.

Viox explains why getting the flu shot in September is a good idea.

Flu season typically runs from October through April with the peak of the season between December and February.

Once again, Mercy Jefferson will hold a drive-thru flu shot clinic on Saturday, September 17th from 8:30 until 11:30am in the parking lot of the Cancer Center located directly across from the hospital’s main campus.
