Meteor Shower Viewing Event Saturday Night at Elephant Rocks

(Graniteville) Elephant Rocks State Park in Iron County will host a meteor shower viewing event Saturday night.

Here’s Park Administrator Brian Bethel.

Bethel says this meteor event was first discovered in 1833.

And Bethel says to dress warm Saturday night because the granite boulders will be colder than the actual air temperature.

The Geminids Meteor Shower event at Elephant Rocks State Park runs from 5 until midnight Saturday night.

The park is located off Highway 21 in Graniteville.
