Michael Roy Erbschloe of Barnhart passed away Monday at the age of 68.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War era and worked for over 30 years performing analysis of the economics of information technology, public policy relating to technology, and utilizing technology in re-engineering organization processes. Michael was an accomplished writer and educator in the field of technology and cyber-security; Michael has taught and developed technology-related curriculum for several universities including the University of Denver. He is credited with having 45 books published and securing speaking engagements at conferences and industry events all over the world.

He is survived by his sister Debra Ellerbrook of Barnhart, brothers William Joseph Erbschloe of Maryland Heights and Kelly Joe Erbschloe of Godfrey, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held privately under the direction of Vinyard Funeral Home in Festus.

Memorials in Michael Erbschloe’s name are preferred to any local Humane Society.
