MoDOT Operations Carry on Through Ongoing Pandemic

(Jefferson County) Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) officials have been keeping the public informed about its operations during the COVID-19 pandemic.

MoDOT Area Engineer Stephen O’Connor says they have been posting updated Coronavirus briefings to their website.

O’Connor adds since the pandemic started the state has experienced traffic that is 35 percent lower than normal, which could end up hurting MoDOT.

We asked O’Connor if some road construction projects are in danger of being cancelled with the projected revenue loss.
