New Details Released in Wayne County Boarding School Kidnapping and Abuse Case
More details have been released following the arrests of the owners of A.B.M. Ministries, which is located south of Clearwater Lake and north of Mill Spring off Highway 34. 57-year old Larry Musgraves Jr. and his wife, 64-year old Carmen Musgraves were both charged with First-Degree Kidnapping after allegedly locking a child in a small room at the boarding school. An employee at the school, 22-year old Caleb Sandoval was also arrested and charged Monday with neglect or abuse of a child.
A probable cause statement says a 15-year old student was injured while boxing with Sandoval sometime between September 1st of 2023 and January 1st of 2024. Sandoval allegedly punched the boy twice in the body and three times in the face, causing the boy to fall and have a bloody nose. Sandoval initially told investigators he was preparing the boy for a mixed martial arts camp but he later allegedly said the incident took place about a week after the boy made sexual comments about Sandoval and his wife. Sandoval’s initial court date is set for Thursday, March 7th at the Wayne County courthouse. A court date for the Musgrave’s has not been set yet.
