North County Girls Tennis Team Off To A Hot Start

(Bonne Terre) The North County girls tennis team had a remarkable 2021 season, capturing a second consecutive district championship while making history in the doubles portion of the state championships. Hanna Politte and her sister, Lauren, defeated teammates Kate Jones and Lucy Pace to win the title, giving the Raiders a one-two finish in doubles.

Jones and Hanna have graduated, but coach Courtney Stufflebean says the Raiders return a bolstered roster.

Lauren Politte is a senior now and Pace is a junior, both playing well for the 6-0 Raiders. Politte is paired with freshman Alli Scott in doubles while Pace is joined by junior Camille Skaggs.

Stufflebean tells us about the girls that round out the rest of the team.

As far as the rest of the season goes, Stufflebean is excited about what’s to come.

North County is participating in the Windsor Tournament on Friday.
