(Fredericktown, Mo.) It’s an MAAA softball matchup on the MyMoInfo SportsStream this evening as the (14-5) North County Raiders travel to Fredericktown to take on the (5-8) BlackCats. The two teams have already met once this season back on September 12th at North County with the Raiders winning the game by a final score of 7-1.

After starting the season 5-1, Fredericktown has hit a brutal stretch of their schedule losing seven games over the last six days. BlackCats head coach Cody Huff says despite the recent struggles the girls remain positive, and he believes his team is on the cusp of breaking out of their funk after a strong showing against Cape Central last night.

Huff says they know the Raiders present a tough challenge and his team will need to execute at a high level to remain competitive.

North County has had much more success during their current mid-season stretch winning five of seven over the past week and a half. Raiders head coach Steve Elam says there are a lot of positives to take away from his team’s performance to this point in the season.

After edging out Fredericktown in a tough matchup earlier this season, Elam says his team needs to be prepared for a similar game.

Coverage of the softball game between North County and Fredericktown will begin this evening at 4:15 with the Flieg’s Equipment Pregame Show on the MyMoInfo SportsStream which can be accessed on our YouTube Channel MyMoInfo Sports or on our website mymoinfo.com.
