Northwest R-1 Announces Teachers of the Year

(HIGH RIDGE) The Northwest R-1 School District recently announced their Teachers of the Year. Receiving awards were high school English teacher Kate Hermann, Middle School social studies instructor Jake Buddemeyer and Murphy Elementary Special Education teacher Staci Venatta. Northwest R-1 Superintendent Dr. Jennifer Hecktor says Staci Venatta’s path to “Teacher of the Year” is extraordinary.
According to Hecktor, Venatta is a confidence builder for the students.
Northwest R-1 classified staff receiving “Golden Bell” awards were: Jen Barr, Administrative Center custodian, Barb Kruse, Administrative Assistant at Valley Middle School, and Early Childhood Center paraprofessional Valerie Soer.
