The West County Bulldogs are the 90th Arcadia Valley Thanksgiving Basketball Tournament Champions. The Bulldogs won an epic battle against the Ellington Whippets 41-38.

In the third place game Arcadia Valley beat South Iron in a close contest, 63-60. The first quarter ended with South Iron in charge at 19-12. Arcadia Valley answered with a strong 2nd quarter start pulling them into a tie at the break 34-34. The third quarter began in favor of Arcadia Valley with this bucket from Jake Pryor.

 

The Tigers used that basket to surge to a 49-43 lead at the end of the 3rd. South Iron would tie it up a couple of times in the 4th quarter but this shot with the game tied 58-58 catapulted the Tigers to victory.

 

Jake Pryor for Arcadia Valley knocked in two clutch free throws with 5 seconds left in the game to seal the 3rd place title. Jake Pryor and Peyton Whited led the Tigers in scoring with 19 points. Austin Wren who extended the Tigers lead late in the 4th finished with 11 points. South Iron’s LaRon Cornell led all scorers with 25 points.
