October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

(Jefferson County) October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month.

Barb Tenholder is the Director of COMTREA’a A Safe Place, a domestic violence shelter for women in Jefferson County. She says domestic violence is more common than one might think.

Tenholder adds last year domestic violence was on the rise, especially in Jefferson County.
