Old Fashioned Rendezvous This Weekend in Old Mines

(Old Mines) After being canceled last year because of the pandemic, the La Fete A Renault Rendezvous will take place this weekend in Old Mines and the public is welcome to check it out.

Dennis Boyer is one of the organizers.

He tells us what time frame of history they will portray.

Boyer says rendezvous also has another meaning.

The 36th La Fete A Renault Rendezvous is this Saturday and Sunday on the grounds of St. Joachim Catholic Church in Old Mines.

All participants will be in period dress.

There’s also flintlock, smooth bore and percussion rifle matches, along with a primitive archery contest.

There’s games for kids, food will be available for visitors to purchase and other fun.

This free event is open to visitors both Saturday and Sunday from 10 until dusk.
