(PARK HILLS, Mo.) – A Park Hills man who had already been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action after a man was killed in July has been indicted on additional charges by a grand jury.

The Daily Journal reports that 50-year old Oscar Ortiz is now also looking at charges of unlawful use of a weapon, tampering with physical evidence in a felony prosecution, tampering with a victim in a felony prosecution, and operating a vehicle in a careless manner.

This all stems from a murder that took place on July 1st, when 34-year old Adam Carroll of Farmington lost his life after being shot in the head at a home in the 700 block of Third Street.

There were witnesses at the home that managed to identify Ortiz as the one who shot Carroll.

Ortiz remains in the St. Francois County Jail on a 1-million dollar bond.
