(Perryville) The Perry County School Board passed a new budget for the new fiscal year this week. Superintendent Andy Comstock says the second round of CARES ACT funding helped the district provide some raises.

Comstock says the latest testing shows Perry County schools were able to help catch-up some of those students who fell behind during the pandemic.

In other news from the Perry County 32 School Board meeting in Perryville, the board selected Casey Brewer to fill a vacancy on the board of education. Brewer will serve through the April 2022 election.
