Pevely use tax will fund new police radio system

(Pevely) The City of Pevely will be placing a “use tax” on the April election ballot. The tax will be implemented on internet sales and will be used for specific use…to upgrade their police radio system. Pevely City Administrator Andy Hixon says it’s an important safety issue that needs to be addressed.

The City of Festus had similar issues over the years with their police dispatching and passed Proposition P a few years ago to fund those changes. The City of Pevely use tax will need a simple majority to pass on April 5th.
