A terrific career in track and field ended for Ste. Genevieve’s Jesse Pinkley with a state championship in the pole vault, and he can now also call himself a Regional Radio Dream Team athlete.

Pinkley describes what it was like realizing he had finished his high school career as a state champ.

Pinkley was also top-10 in Class 3 in the 300-meter hurdles, and took all-conference honors in both events, but he says his success in his senior season was a bit unexpected.

And yet Pinkley capped off his high school track tenure on the highest of high notes, and he credits the support system around him.

Pinkley will continue his track career at Central Methodist Universtiy in Fayette. To hear the full interview with Jesse Pinkley, click play on the link below.
