Portion of Crawford County Dealing with Severe Drought Conditions

(Farmington) Part of the listening area saw some improvement in drought conditions according to the latest drought monitor map released Thursday.

Last weekend’s rain put all of Madison, Wayne and Bollinger counties back in good standing, along with most of Perry County, a good chunk of Reynolds County, southern Iron below the Arcadia Valley, the southern tip of Ste. Genevieve County and the southeastern tip of St. Francois County.

A section of northern Crawford County is getting the worst of it with severe drought conditions.

Moderate drought is still holding on in all of Dent and Jefferson counties, most of Crawford, northern Ste. Genevieve County and the northeastern tip of St. Francois County.

The rest of the listening area continues to deal with abnormally dry conditions.
