Potosi Man Charged With 30 Felonies In Washington County

(Potosi) A Washington County man has been charged by criminal complaint with 30 felonies in Washington County.

48-year-old Phillip A. Emily Jr. of Potosi faces 28 counts of first-degree statutory sodomy and two counts of second-degree child molestation.

A news release from the Washington County Prosecuting Attorney’s office says Emily was charged April 12th in the Associate Circuit Court of Washington County.

The complaint alleges that between July 8th of 2021 and April 27th of 2022, Emily frequently perpetrated various sexual abusive acts on a single victim who was less than 12-years-old.

The allegations include various types of acts spanning across several different locations but all include the same child as the victim.

Emily is currently being held with no bond.

His initial arraignment will be Tuesday morning at 10 at the courthouse in Potosi.
